• With black: ch 4; join with slip st to first ch to form a ring.
• Rnds 1 and 2: Work same as Rnds 1 and 2 of Basic Hat #1
• Rnds 3 and 4: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join with slip st to first sc, finish off.
• Rnd 5: With right side facing, join Red with slip st in same st as joining, ch 3, 2 dc in next sc, (dc in next sc, 2 dc in next sc) around; join with slip st to first dc: 36 dc.
• Rnds 6-10: Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each dc around; join with slip st to first dc.
• Ribbing: Work same as for Basic Hat #1.
• Dot (Make 6): With Black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook; join with slip st to first sc, finish off leaving a length for sewing: 4 sc.
• Antennae: With Black, ch 22 very tightly, finish off.
• With Black, embroider center line. Sew dots in place. Insert antennae through top of head and stitch through center.
